Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said today in New York, where he participated in the 79th annual session of The UN General Assembly that the participation of the Serbian delegation in the meeting strengthened the country's position on the global stage, Tanjug reported. Djuric announced that Serbia has established diplomatic relations with several countries.
„At this session of the UN General Assembly, Serbia wrote a small but significant part of its diplomatic history by establishing diplomatic relations with several countries with which we have never had diplomatic communication,”, Djuric pointed out. “We are talking about smaller countries, from the point of view of population and territory, but countries that are part of the UN, UNESCO and other international organizations, where for us every vote is important, because in these organizations we also protect the monasteries is in Kosovo and Metohija and its sovereignty and territorial integrity, but not only that“, writes the agency, quoted by BTA.
The countries with which Serbia has established diplomatic relations this weekend are the Republic of Kiribati, Guyana and the Marshall Islands. Serbia has also introduced visa liberalization for several small countries.
