A victory over Russia, which would result in the loss of half of Ukraine's population, cannot be considered a real victory. This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel, quoted by the electronic media Ceske noviny (CTK), quoted by Focus.
„Victory over Russia at the cost of destroying half of the Ukrainians is not a real victory,” Pavel declared.
He pointed out that “expectations that the conflict will end with a clear victory for Ukraine in the near future are dangerous for everyone”.
„I have never doubted that we should support Ukraine in its quest to restore its territorial integrity. However, it is important to realistically assess the time frames and the price that will cost to reach this goal”, the head of state stressed.
