Hami specified that the attack was carried out on Lebanese territory and left a crater with a diameter of 4 meters.
At a press conference yesterday, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accused the Shiite movement "Hezbollah" of using the border crossing to transfer military equipment to Lebanon. "The IDF would not allow arms smuggling and would take action if necessary, as it has done throughout the conflict," said IDF spokesman Avihai Adrae.
In response to the accusations, Hami stressed that the border crossing remains under the control of the Lebanese authorities.
According to data from the Lebanese government, more than 300,000 people, mostly Syrians, have crossed from Lebanon to Syria in the past 10 days, seeking salvation from the increasing Israeli bombardment, notes Reuters.
