Hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in central London, and in the British capital a “large-scale“ police operation on the occasion of the anniversary of the attack on Israel on October 7, reported PI Media and DPA, quoted by BTA.
About 200 pro-Palestinian activists gathered in Bedford Square. this morning ahead of the planned march amid heavy police presence.
Some of them carried Lebanese and Iranian flags and placards reading: “We do not support genocide” and “Zionism is racism”, and many chanted “Free Palestine”.
In response to the planned protest and commemorative events across London, a “large-scale” police operation, reported the Metropolitan Police.
A commemorative event organized by British Jewish organizations will be held in Hyde Park tomorrow afternoon.
Police said they were not aware of any significant public events scheduled for Monday, the anniversary of the attack.
