A heavy rain storm has hit Croatia's Adriatic coast, leaving parts of Dalmatia under water, reports the Skopje electronic publication "Sloboden Pechat", referring to local media, quoted by Focus.
An impressive 140 liters of rain per square meter fell in Podgora, which unleashed rivers of water on the streets and caused flooding of numerous houses and buildings. Fire crews are constantly on site pumping out the water. The storm also caused a power outage for hundreds of consumers in Gornja Podgora, the local fire service informed.
The city of Makarska was also seriously affected by the storm. There are currently no reports of casualties.
