Rockets fired by the Lebanese group “Hezbollah” hit Israel's third largest city Haifa, the Israeli police reported early today, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

According to Israeli media, ten people were injured in the northern part of the country.

In a message from “Hezbollah” a military base south of Haifa was said to have been targeted by a salvo of Fadi 1 missiles. According to reports, two rockets hit Haifa.

Police said several buildings and other properties were damaged. There were reports of minor injuries and people were taken to a nearby hospital.

According to emergency teams, 10 people were treated, most of them wounded by shrapnel.

For its part, the Israeli army announced that its planes had struck intelligence targets of “Hezbollah” in Beirut, including intelligence gathering facilities, command centers and other infrastructure targets.

Israel accuses Hezbollah of deliberately placing its command centers and weapons under residential buildings in Beirut and endangering the civilian population.

A new series of airstrikes hit Israel on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital Beirut late Sunday amid intensified bombing in the northern Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, the Associated Press reported, cited by BTA.

According to Palestinian representatives, 19 people were killed in an attack on a mosque in the Gaza Strip.

Israel is on high alert ahead of commemorative events for the anniversary of the “Hamas“ in southern Israel on October 7 last year, and demonstrations continue around the world.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli forces struck the town of Kamatiya, southeast of Beirut, where the Lebanese health ministry said six people, including three children, were killed.
