US President Joe Biden today called on people who have been ordered to left before hurricane "Milton" to reach the coast of Florida, to evacuate "right now", saying that it is a matter of life and death, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
"This could be Florida's worst storm in over a century, and God forbid it isn't, but right now it looks like it is,'' Biden said.
The US president added that he had approved a state of emergency in Florida and called on airlines to comply with the evacuation and not raise prices.
Biden has indicated that he will try to make the planned and now postponed trips to Germany and Angola later because he cannot be out of his country at the moment.
He added that today he will talk with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
