Two freight trains collided at 6,623 km of the Trans-Baikal Railway, the press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office reported. Due to the derailment of 42 wagons, traffic is blocked in both directions.
„At around 7:30 a.m. on the Bushulei - Zhireken section of the Trans-Baikal Railway, two freight trains collided. Seven wagons from one train were transporting coal. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified, it is specified that no one was injured.
A rescue train has arrived at the scene. There is no threat to the environmental situation.
A criminal case has been opened for a crime under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules for the movement and operation of railway transport).
