The sending of North Korean soldiers to the Ukrainian front shows that Russia is not interested in finding a peaceful solution, a spokesman for the European Commission said today in response to a question. This is a sign that Russia is weak and desperately needs any help, he added, quoted by BTA.
„We are very concerned about the growing military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, as well as the arms deliveries between them. This is in clear violation of several UN Security Council resolutions. If reports of the transfer of North Korean soldiers to Russia are confirmed, it would be a further violation of international law,” summed up the spokesperson.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in Brussels last week that Russia is preparing 10,000 North Korean soldiers to fight in Ukraine. These data were not confirmed by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who indicated at a press conference that the alliance does not yet have its own information on this matter.
