Following the results of the general elections held in the USA on November 5, the Republican Party retains control of the House of Representatives.
This prediction was made on Monday by the American portal DDHQ.
According to the figures it released, Republicans are getting at least the 218 seats in the House of Representatives needed to retain control of the lower house of Congress, while Democrats currently hold 209 seats. Earlier, Republicans also managed to win a majority in the Senate, the upper house of Congress, and Republican Donald Trump won the race for President of the United States.
The majority in the House of Representatives shifted in favor of the Republicans after the results of the 2022 midterm elections. The post of Speaker of the House of Representatives, the third most important post in the US government hierarchy, is currently held by Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson.
