The EU Representation in Kyiv will continue working today, a spokesman for the European Commission announced at a press conference in response to questions. He specified that the representative office has taken additional security measures and has the necessary protection, quoted by BTA.
The spokesman added that EU member states are assessing for themselves whether their embassies in Kyiv should remain open, in the context of growing threats.
Earlier today, the US Embassy in Kyiv announced that it had received information about a possible large-scale air strike on the Ukrainian capital and would therefore remain closed. A few hours before this announcement, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said they were making efforts to repel a Russian airstrike over Kiev. The citizens of the capital were urged to remain in their shelters until the end of the air alert.
