US President Donald Trump has promised to increase the flow of water to fire-stricken areas of Los Angeles and other dry areas. The head of state said this at a meeting with local authorities, and California senators and residents of the state.
"If you don't need it, tell me. But I can't imagine that. We have plenty of water available. We're talking about unlimited water coming from the West Coast, partly from Canada”, Trump noted.
According to Trump, the water "has been flowing naturally for millions of years and will never run out“. He also said that he had signed the relevant decrees. Trump also asked those attending the meeting to support what he is doing.
On January 23, it was reported that the devastating wildfires in the US state of California had caused at least $350 million in damage to Los Angeles' infrastructure. The most damage was in the Pacific Paradise area.
On the same day, it became known that a new wildfire had broken out in Los Angeles County. The department specified that the fire had spread over 20 square kilometers.
