An explosion occurred at an oil depot in the Caucasus region of Kuban, which caught fire from falling debris from drones, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported on its Telegram channel.
"During the extinguishing, due to the depressurization of the burning tank, an explosion of petroleum products and a leak of burning naphtha occurred. As a result, three pieces of equipment were damaged, two firefighters were injured. They were quickly provided with first aid on the spot and taken to hospital with minor burns and poisoning from combustion fumes. There is no danger to the life and health of employees," the statement said.
The area of the fire has increased to 10 thousand square meters, the fire has spread to a second tank.
„So, two tanks, shut-off valves, oil products around the tanks and that part of the burning oil products that were thrown outside the boundaries of the tanks during the explosion are currently burning", the headquarters added.
456 people and 181 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
Overnight, Russia's air defense systems destroyed 43 Ukrainian drones over several regions of the Russian Federation, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
34 of them were shot down over the territory of the Volgograd region, 4 over the Rostov and Kursk regions and one in the Belgorod Region.
