Ukraine's European allies have failed to agree on the deployment of foreign armed forces in the country to ensure the implementation of a possible peace agreement. Only some of them are willing to participate, French President Emmanuel Macron said today, quoted by the Associated Press, reports BTA.
“We did not reach unanimity“, Macron said, adding: “However, we do not need unanimity to do it.“
He explained that France and Britain, which initiated the proposal, would continue working on creating a plan for the deployment of such a contingent.
“There will be a guarantee force with the participation of several European countries that will be deployed“, Macron also said.
