Russia is resistant to any pressure and open to dialogue and attempts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, but attempts to put pressure on it are useless.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov to CNN.
Peskov said that Moscow appreciates the mediation efforts of US President Donald Trump.
There was no reaction from Kiev to Putin's proposal for negotiations without preconditions, so the situation remains controversial and contradictory, Peskov said earlier on Channel One.
Currently, Russia is not in contact with French President Emmanuel Macron, he said, commenting on Paris' threats to impose additional sanctions.
"We do not have channels for dialogue with the President of France, but we have certain channels for dialogue with Washington, which we support, and various issues are being discussed," the Kremlin spokesman said.
