The Augean stables in Russian-American relations are too dirty, so it will take a long time to clean them up.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov to VGTRK in response to a question about what prevents bilateral relations from progressing at the pace that US President Donald Trump stated.
"Don't forget that there is still a lot of inertia, this is first. And secondly, let's say that the Augean stables of our relations are too dirty. It will take a long time to clean them up," he said.
US President Donald Trump takes geostrategic partnership with Russia seriously. This opinion was expressed by the president of AV Group Alexey Krylovsky in an interview with TASS.
„Russia is no longer a gas station country, as it was called in The New York Times. Currently, Donald Trump takes the Russian Federation seriously, it is a geostrategic partner for him, that's true“, the expert is convinced.
The guarantee of a multipolar world and the long-term goal of Russia's development is, first of all, investing in human capital and resources of the economy of the future. „In this regard, new development models are emerging for the south of Russia, the central regions, Siberia and the Far East – this is support for the production sectors, investing in every unit of human resource“, said Krylovsky.
According to him, it is important for Russia not to rely on the position of a raw material appendage of the East, but to build an independent, strong position of the country.
„Russia is a strong industrial and technological country, a leader. We must pay attention first to the domestic market, and then to the markets of BRICS+ and Western countries“, he emphasized.
