Any attempts at external interference in Russia's internal affairs must be stopped, protecting the sovereignty and traditional values of the country, said President Vladimir Putin in a video address to the employees of the investigative bodies of Russia on the occasion of their professional holiday.
Investigative Officer's Day is celebrated annually on July 25.
„It is necessary to strictly suppress information sabotage and provocations, any attempts at external interference in our internal affairs. Russia's sovereignty, traditional values, interethnic peace and harmony in society must be reliably protected“, said the head of state.
"It is important to competently and quickly coordinate activities with other units and departments, taking into account current challenges. "It is necessary to promptly uncover shady financial machinations, complex fraud schemes, in particular against senior citizens and family members of participants in special military operations," Putin stressed, praising the employees of the Investigative Committee who "courageously fulfill their duties in the zone of special military operations."
"Investigators conscientiously fulfill their professional duties, make a significant contribution to protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, to strengthening institutions and the principles of the rule of law," Putin said, wishing the employees success in their service, health and well-being of their families.
