An incident postponed the start of the premiere of "Tosca" at the Sofia Opera, BTA reports.
An elderly woman from the audience died while waiting for the performance to begin. An ambulance arrived at the scene.
The audience was informed that the premiere would begin later in the evening.
The performance will be conducted by world-renowned maestro Daniel Oren, and the production is directed by Plamen Kartalov.
