Weather today, forecast for Tuesday, October 7: More precipitation, risk of flooding in Eastern Bulgaria

Maximum temperatures will be between 10° and 15°, in Sofia – around 10°

Another portion of prolonged and significant rainfall is coming, BNT reported. The most significant will be in the eastern and northern regions of the country.

Code red has been declared in Eastern Bulgaria - the highest level of flood risk. Over 65l/sq m is expected to fall during the day in these regions.

In the southwestern, as well as in the south-central parts of the country, precipitation will decrease. Minimum temperatures will be mainly between 6° and 11°, and maximum - between 10° and 15°, in Sofia – around 10°.

It will also be windy, a moderate, temporarily strong wind will blow from the west-northwest, in the northeastern regions the direction will be from the north-northeast.

On the Black Sea Coast it will be cloudy, with prolonged and significant precipitation. A moderate and strong northwest wind will blow, on the Northern Black Sea Coast - northeast. Maximum temperatures will be between 14° and 19°. The sea wave will be about 3 points.

In the mountains cloudiness will also remain significant. In the massifs in Southwestern Bulgaria it will rain, with temporary interruptions, above 1800 meters above sea level it will snow.

The precipitation will be more significant and prolonged in the Stara Planina and Strandzha Mountains. Strong winds will blow from the north-northwest, on the highest parts - from the north-northeast.
