During the implementation of the activities between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., traffic will be limited in the active and emergency lanes, and traffic will pass through the overtaking lane, informed the "Road Infrastructure" Agency. The repair work on the 1-kilometer section of the highway began on October 21 and is being undertaken to ensure traffic safety.
Also on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., a joint on the viaduct in the area of the village of Potop (at the 18th km) on the "Hemus" highway in the direction of Varna will be repaired. During the implementation of the activities on the facility, traffic will be restricted in the active and emergency lanes, and traffic will move to the overtaking lane.
Today, the strengthening of the section between the 47th and 48th km of the third-class road III-514 Gorna Oryahovitsa - Veliko Tarnovo, passing through Arbanasi, begins. Part of the route was compromised at the end of last week by the torrential rains in the area. The overwetting of the soil led to the landslide of the shoulder, while the road base and the roadway were not affected.
From 8 a.m. on October 24 to 6 p.m. on October 25, traffic will be restricted at the “Bulgarovo“ junction in the section from the 351st to the 353rd km of the “Trakia“ motorway in the Sofia lane due to pavement repairs. During the implementation of the planned activities on the facility, the passage from the highway to Bulgarovo and the town of Kameno will be limited and traffic will be redirected along bypass routes.
The movement to Bulgarovo will be carried out along the route from Burgas through the "Vetren" district to Bulgarovo, and for the town of Kameno - from Burgas through the village of Svoboda to Kameno. Those traveling from Burgas to Sofia will pass in the overtaking lane. Traffic will be regulated by road signs.
The repair work on the 2-kilometer section, in the Burgas region, began on October 20, and until Friday they will be carried out without closing the section, with the rerouting of travelers in the overtaking lane in the lane, according to the RIA.
From 8:30 a.m. on October 22, traffic will be restricted in a section with a length of about a kilometer between the 47th and 48th km of the third-class road III-514, which is near Arbanasi, to strengthen the road shoulders and restore the slope. Traffic will be redirected along a bypass route via the municipal road VTR1014 Arbanasi - Sheremetyevo, road I-4 Sheremetyevo - Veliko Tarnovo and vice versa.
The estimated completion date for the activities in the area is October 31. The construction and installation works will be carried out by the company with which RIA has a contract for the ongoing repair and maintenance of the republican roads in the Veliko Tarnovo region - “Road Construction-Veliko Tarnovo“ EAD.
