„This is a difficult budget, we are reaping the fruits of 4 years of political instability and quite populist decisions. The main parameters in the budget have been released. There we see a planned 2 percentage point increase in the social security contribution. This is a decision to find a way to reduce the deficit in the pension system, which is 50% and is quite critical. We expect 12 billion to not be enough for us in a year. We are collecting the money from social security by half. This is in the direction of reducing the deficit“.
This is what she said in „Face to Face“ after the central program News on bTV Hristina Hristova, former Minister of Social Affairs, commenting on the budget for next year
„The way in which social security contributions are paid must be equalized. When the state started paying civil servants, they received a one-time reduction in their salaries. Now if they have to pay themselves, there will have to be an increase“, the former Minister of Social Affairs also pointed out.
„The maximum social security income has been increased, it becomes 4600 leva. With this budget, people's income will decrease and the employer's expenses will increase, if this is maintained for the DOO“, said Hristova.
According to her, there should be an increase in people's salaries, because there is inflation, but this should be done reasonably and measuredly.
