Five injured, including two children, in head-on collision

A crash closed the Asenovgrad - Chepelare road last night for more than three hours, the officer on duty at the Regional Road Administration (RDA) - Smolyan told BTA. Traffic in the area has already been restored.

A report of the traffic accident in the area between the village of Hvoyna and "Siniya Han" was filed at 9:05 p.m. Initially, traffic on the secondary road was completely restricted in both directions. In the late hours, the police began to allow car traffic to pass in one lane.

The crash was between two passenger cars. One of them entered the oncoming lane and hit the other head-on.

The police indicated that five people were injured, including two children. One of the children was admitted to hospital. There is no danger to the lives of the injured.

On Thursday, on the same road, in the area of the village of Hvoyna, a serious accident occurred, which blocked traffic for several hours. The traffic accident was between a Fiat "Punto" car, driven by a 57-year-old man from Plovdiv, and a "Scania" truck. On a straight section of the road, the car entered the oncoming lane and hit the truck. The 57-year-old Plovdiv resident was injured and was admitted for observation at the University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment "St. George" - Plovdiv.
