The National Assembly will discuss again the changes in the law that relate to the appointment of a special commercial manager of the “Lukoil“ refinery in Burgas, after they were returned by the head of state Rumen Radev.
The item is expected to be included in the extraordinary session at the beginning of today's plenary session.
The President vetoed provisions of the law on the administrative regulation of economic activities related to oil and oil products on the grounds that the amendments in practice provide for indirect nationalization of the assets of the affected enterprises and the possibility of their transfer to an unspecified circle of third parties. This, according to Rumen Radev, opens the door wide for arbitrariness and abuse.
The National Assembly will discuss the changes to the law again, with the majority expected to overcome the presidential veto, as happened at the extraordinary energy commission convened late yesterday.
The ruling party has requested to announce the name or names of the special commercial manager once the veto is overcome.
The deputies' agenda includes four bills in first reading for changes to the Labor Code.
One submitted by the ruling party, and three by the PP-DB. The government's proposal provides that parents of children up to 12 years old will be able to work remotely during their summer vacation.
Three separate bills for amendments to the law on the National Security Service, submitted by the Council of Ministers, “Vazrazhdane“, and MRF - NN, are also entering the first reading.
The government proposes that the Service's cars be transferred to the Presidential Administration, “Vazrazhdane“'s proposals provide that deputies cannot be protected by the NSO, and the MRF-NN bill introduces a ban on providing personal cars to the NSO, as well as a ban on personal cars being equipped as cars with a special traffic regime.
Four bills for amendments to the law on the Ministry of Interior are also on the agenda. Proposed by the PP-DB texts provide for differentiated payment of labor for employees in the Ministry of Interior, which would lead to higher salaries for those who are charged with direct police functions.
"Lukoil" stated that all sites in the company's sales network are functioning and will continue to operate normally, BNT reported.
A press release issued to the media this evening states that there are no grounds for terminating their activities and that the gas stations are fully supplied with fuel.
The reason is incorrect information about the termination of the "Lukoil" gas station network across the country, the company also stated.
