„There is an expectation for something new and serious on the right”. This is how Vili Lilkov explained the growth of “Blue Sofia” in “Blue Bulgaria”. The project was announced days ago. Jacqueline Toleva, Petar Moskov, Ivan Sotirov, Stefan Ivanov are among the founders of the formation.
„We received many calls from all over the country after the mayoral elections. The “Blue Sofia” project was assessed as successful and therefore grew into “Blue Bulgaria”, Lilkov stated on the air of the program “Tvoyat den” on NOVA NEWS.
„We appealed to other right-wing parties. The coalition has already been joined by the “Bulgarian New Democracy” and “Conservative Bulgaria”. We are in negotiations with some agricultural organizations. "My dream is to gather this fragmented right into one and give an alternative to the voters," Lilkov said.
He confirmed that the formation will appear in both types of vote – the early parliamentary elections and the elections for the European Parliament.
„We already have candidates for leaders on the lists in some places”, explained Lilkov. But he did not want to name names.
According to him, the expectations that people had towards GERB-SDS and PP-DB have not been met. “Their politics were messed up. It was aimed at uncontrolled spending. We have moved away from the goal of joining the Eurozone”, said Lilkov.
„We are not looking for disappointed voters, but right-wing voters. Many of them did not vote in recent years”, the politician added.
He also commented on the tension in the SOS and the topic of whether there is a purge.
„There was a question for the mayor. It turned out that things were not so tragic that it was a purge. A part of these 325 people are retired, others go to government work. There are those who left, who retire with the deputy mayors and the teams they worked with. Units have been removed from work because of a bright political color. "If you look at the turnover over the years, it cannot be a question of a purge," said Lilkov.
When asked about the garbage problems in Sofia, Lilkov said that there is no crisis yet, but there are beginnings. “If we don't put things in the right positions and call them by the right name today, Sofia may fall into a crisis after a while,” he commented.
