Ivo Doshev: I was not Stefan Spasov

The municipal councilor aggressed and sought a conflict with me, claims the defendant from "Save Sofia"

The municipal councilor Stefan Spasov was not beaten, as reported a few days ago by “Save Sofia" . This is what Ivo Doshev claims on his Facebook profile, for whom from “Save Sofia” reported that he attacked the mayor, NOVA reported.

"The video in which you can see me going home after our conversation (me and my neighbors) with the municipal councilor from “Save Sofia” Stefan Spasov (doesn't look beat does he)… And he doesn't seem to have broken glasses, while he was also beaten," Doshev wrote.

"The lie of “Save Sofia”: “A municipal councilor was physically attacked in broad daylight by Ivo Doshev while he was on the spot inspecting the repair works”.

Truth: We talked to him, discussed the project and scope of work, and left. He was not beaten while inspecting the workers as claimed.

The truth: After I asked him about electric buses and why they are missing as a strategy for Sofia, given that they are the cheapest and most environmentally friendly transport, Stefan Spasov suddenly became aggressive and went after me to pick on me, obviously looking for a conflict with me. I, for my part, was in a hurry because I had work for the day and I was trying to get home to start it and I didn't pay him any attention. And this annoyed him a lot and he was taking pictures of me with his phone camera while I was walking and picking on me

He didn't like the fact that I wasn't paying him any attention and he kept following me, still looking for conflict. When I got to the front door he stood in front of me and wouldn't let me in, he started pushing and pulling and pulling my arm while I was unlocking but even then I wasn't, I just took his glasses off with two fingers and I sent him to get them. I unlocked and entered. This is what happened - and neighbors and workers have described exactly this in their testimony - and only Stefan Spasov wrote that he was beaten", continues Doshev.

"In this regard, I repeat again: I did not beat him or physically attack him, as the slanderers from Save Sofia lie. I'm about to describe all their lies that we've caught them in so far (this is just one of them, which they created just to divert attention from the real problem," Doshev declares.

"The third photo in my post inviting you to join our protest tomorrow, Monday, 04/22/2024). And the problem with electric buses, which are strangely missing from Sofia's transport strategy (we are guessing about some economic incentives that may have been proposed to prevent the development of electric transport in the form of electric buses, right," writes Doshev.
