"In the last days, after a secret vote, it was decided that I will be the leader of the list (for the European elections), and immediately after me will be Daniela Bojinova. We will be as is traditional for the European Greens - a leading pair of candidates. This was stated by Borislav Sandov, who is a member of the Executive Board of the Green Movement, to Focus. from Brussels, where the European Green Party launched its campaign for the European elections.
"The nomination process started a long time ago - about two months ago. At that time, we still did not know in what format the party would appear in the upcoming European elections. After it became clear that we were running independently, this process was accelerated - the internal polling began, between members, between local organizations, strengthening of nominations for certain candidates", explained Sandov.
In his words, with a successful result of the upcoming 2 in 1 vote, the mandate can be shared between the first two: "There is a decision of the National Council, which I support and which is the tradition of the green political formations, if successful this mandate to be shared between the first two".
Sandov stated that the main priority of the "Green Movement" in the election campaign should be to involve more young people in the electoral process. Another very important goal for them is the "Green Movement" to have at least one member of the European Parliament. He added that this has not happened so far.
