One person died and several were injured in crashes today.
A man died and eight people were injured in a head-on collision between a car "Mini Cooper" and a van "Volkswagen Caravel" on the road Yambol - Sliven. According to initial data, the car driven by a 49-year-old man entered the oncoming lane. In the accident, the driver died on the spot. The eight passengers from the bus were transported for examination and treatment to hospitals in Yambol and Sliven, with various injuries. One of the passengers is in danger.
A disaster with an injured child occurred on the main road in Sofia – Varna, in the area of Bulgarian spring village, Teteven municipality. Two cars collided. A family was injured in one of the cars, traveling with their two children – six and eight years old. The older child suffered more serious injuries and was transported to a medical facility in Pleven, the other child and the parents were examined at the hunting hospital and released.
A car in which eight foreign nationals were found crashed on the "Thrakia" highway, and the driver fled, the Ministry of the Interior informed BTA.
