Over 6,000 matriculation students appear for the matriculation exam in Bulgarian language and literature

The exam will be held in 620 halls of 230 schools in the country

6,396 matriculation students are expected to be admitted to the compulsory matriculation exam in Bulgarian language and literature, to take the exam today, reported BNT.

It will be held in 620 halls of 230 schools in the country.

Exam will start at 8:30 AM And in this session there is no change in exam format and duration. The test consists of 22 multiple-choice, 16 short-answer and two extended-answer questions.

The final 41 questions include an essay on a given topic or an interpretive essay on one or more works of art studied.

On August 22, there will be the mandatory exams for a profiling subject and for the acquisition of a professional qualification, and on August 26, additional exams for an optional subject.

Seniors who have not successfully passed the exam in previous sessions appear.

Starting this year, those who wish to improve their grade, which they need for applying to higher education in a subject for which they have already passed the matriculation exam, have the right to appear. Those who do not have a grade in a given subject in their secondary education diploma can also take the exam.

Exam results will be announced by September 5.
