Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov congratulated Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost on his election as Pope, reports "Focus".
"Congratulations to the new Pope Leo XIV! May he work with wisdom and dedication for a more peaceful world and dialogue between all," the Prime Minister wrote on the social network X.
"I am confident that he will be a defender of the weak and needy throughout the world," he was categorical.
