"Natalia Kiselova did not violate the Constitution, because there is no act that has been voted on by parliament for the national referendum on the introduction of the euro proposed by President Rumen Radev. This was stated by constitutional law professor Prof. Ekaterina Mihaylova to BNT, quoted by news.bg

In her words, only the Constitutional Court can say whether there is a violation of the Constitution or not, and according to her, at the moment we cannot even talk about a violation of the law.

Prof. Mihaylova explained that nothing will follow from Natalia Kiselova's decision not to allow the presidential referendum on the introduction of the euro to be put on the agenda of the National Assembly.

According to her, the president's request may remain in the National Assembly for a long time and not be considered at all.

Ekaterina Mihaylova pointed out that there will be both politically negative comments and positive assessments of the decision of the Speaker of the 51st National Assembly not to allow the presidential referendum.
"Politicians must respond with political arguments as to who is "for" and who is "against" the introduction of the euro. The state must make efforts to explain to people what will follow from the adoption of the euro," urged Prof. Mihaylova.

She emphasized once again that the Constitution is not violated by the fact that there will be no referendum on the introduction of the euro.
