A fire near Bezmer airbase has put the fire department and volunteers on alert. The fire started in dry grass and bushes, but is currently under control. Nearly 200 acres have burned, bTV reports.
The alarm was raised after 15 hours by people working in the field. According to initial information, a spark from a power line ignited the fields.
Farmers with heavy equipment and three fire engines extinguished the fire on site. The airbase said that their on-duty teams were also called to stop the fire if necessary.
