We are entering another heat wave, which will accompany us for seven to eight days, warned climatologist Prof. Georgi Rachev on bTV. According to his forecast, the so-called "turbo heat" begins from Thursday, which will last until July 10.
"The turbo heat begins from Thursday. We also expect the baked tile – 41, 42, and even 43 degrees," said the forecaster and added that "Europe is on fire".
The heat wave is not only local in nature. It affects all of Europe, with absolute records already set in the southern part of France. In Berlin, temperatures will reach 36 degrees in the coming days, the climatologist explained.
The heat wave from Europe will move to Bulgaria on Friday and will last at least until Tuesday next week. The coming days will be very sunny, the afternoons - very hot and dry.
For Sofia, temperatures today will be from 18 to 30 degrees, tomorrow - from 16 to 29, and over the weekend - from 17 to 35 degrees. In Haskovo, today, 21 to 32 degrees are expected, tomorrow - from 18 to 31, and over the weekend - from 17 to 37 degrees.
Many places in Bulgaria had a tropical night last night - temperatures did not drop below 20 degrees even early in the morning. The Mediterranean Sea has already reached 28 degrees, which is above the norm for this time of year, while in Bulgaria it is 2-3 degrees cooler.
According to Prof. Rachev, the coming days will be characterized by the unifying "very" – very sunny, very warm, very hot and very dry weather.
