Three incidents occurred at the Seven Lakes on Saturday, when the number of tourists at the circus was high, the Rescue Service in Dupnitsa told the Bulgarian National Radio.
One of the cases was fatal - a 59-year-old man died as a result of a massive heart attack.
A medical helicopter also boarded the Seven Lakes, while the tourist still had signs of life, said the head of the Rescue Service in Dupnitsa Kiril Cholakov:
"There was a fatality. One of the incidents was a deceased person, a tourist. A medical helicopter came for him, but the person died".
Saturday turned out to be very stressful for the rescuers, who had to take down tourists with injuries. In two other cases, there were falls and injuries.
"The other two cases were minor injuries. A head injury and a broken knee. Unfortunately, there are days like that," Cholakov said.
