A railway worker died near Razgrad station, struck by electricity, the regional directorate of the Ministry of Interior announced.
The work accident involving the 31-year-old man occurred in the area of the Garova Industrial Zone - Razgrad.
The signal for the serious incident was received on tel. 112 at around 09.45 on July 22. On site, an operational-investigation group established that during repair work on the contact network on the Varna - Ruse railway line, the employee climbed onto an electric pole with a voltage of 25,000 volts, where he was struck by electric current.
The Labor Inspectorate and the District Prosecutor's Office have been notified of the case. An investigative case has been opened.
