Two elderly men drowned in the sea near "Sunny Beach" on August 6, the police announced.
Around 10:25 a.m. a lifeguard on the beach in front of a famous disco in the resort complex pulled a man from the sea in a helpless state. The medical team that arrived on the scene determined the death of the man, who appeared to be between 60 and 70 years old.
Around 3:30 p.m. a lifeguard on the beach in front of a hotel in the resort pulled a 93-year-old Polish citizen from the sea, who later died despite the emergency medical care he received.
The bodies of the men were taken to the University Hospital – Burgas for autopsy.
The cases are under investigation.
