NATO is de facto at war with Russia through its continued military support for Ukraine. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a regular press conference, News.bg reports.
„This is obvious and does not require additional proof“, he emphasized.
Moscow's accusations
Russia accuses the Alliance of participating in the conflict since the beginning of military aid to Kiev. Moscow insists that the supply of weapons and training of the Ukrainian military makes NATO a party to the conflict.
The context in Poland
Peskov's statement comes after the words of Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who stated that NATO is not at war with Russia, despite the incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory.
The Alliance's response
Meanwhile, the Alliance announced that it would strengthen its presence on the eastern flank to ensure the security of its allies.
