Netanyahu: Israel Gives Several Days to Gaza Hostage Talks

The country intends to achieve the disarmament of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas after the release of the hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a televised address to his fellow citizens, confirmed his approval for sending a negotiating team to Egypt to finalize the details of the peace plan for the Gaza Strip. He stated that the Jewish state is giving several days to this process and expects to immediately release all hostages held in the enclave.

„I have instructed a negotiating team, led by Israeli Strategic Planning Minister Ron Dermer, to travel to Egypt to finalize the technical details of the release of our hostages.“ “We and our American friends intend to hold this negotiation process within a few days, and you heard US President Donald Trump tonight, who made it clear that we will not tolerate delays, postponements or evasive maneuvers by Hamas,“ Netanyahu said.

Furthermore, Israel intends to achieve the disarmament of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas after the release of the hostages held in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu stressed.

He warned of his readiness to achieve this goal through both diplomatic and military means.

In the second stage (after the release of the hostages), Hamas will be disarmed and the Gaza Strip will be demobilized. This will happen either diplomatically, according to Trump's plan, or militarily on our part.“ “Either this will be achieved the easy way, or the hard way, but it will be achieved,“ the prime minister said.
