The administration of US President Donald Trump has revoked the visas of six foreigners who, according to US authorities, made mocking comments or downplayed the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, the Associated Press reported, BTA reported.
The US State Department announced that it had decided to revoke their visas after reviewing their social media posts and online videos about Kirk.
The announcement came as Trump was posthumously awarding Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the US.
The US administration and its supporters have targeted individuals for their comments about Kirk, which led to the firings or disciplinary measures against journalists, teachers and others who raise concerns about freedom of expression.
The six whose visas were revoked are from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay and South Africa. Their names are not being disclosed.
