White House: The President explained to Zelensky and Putin that the war has been going on for too long and his patience

Trump will continue to work for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, presidential press secretary Caroline Leavitt assured

US President Donald Trump will continue to work for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said.

„He is working around the clock to bring peace and will continue to do so with Russia and Ukraine, just as he did with Israel and Gaza. "There is a new dawn in the Middle East, and we hope that the same will happen with Russia and Ukraine, and the president is working hard to make that happen," she said on Fox News.

According to Leavitt, Trump's phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 16 and his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on October 17 were "very frank." The White House press secretary said the American leader made it clear "to both sides of the conflict that it has gone on for too long" and that "the patience of the United States is running out."

Trump previously wrote on Truth Social that during a meeting with Zelensky at the White House, he urged him to reach an agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
