Iran: The West killed our nuclear deal with the International Atomic Energy Agency

The official termination of the Cairo Agreement is a direct result of their provocations, summarized Minister Abbas Araghchi

The United States and three European powers - Britain, Germany and France, commonly referred to as the E3 - killed the nuclear agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), signed in Cairo in September. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

"Like the diplomacy that was attacked by Israel and the US in June, the Cairo Agreement was killed by the US and the E3", he wrote on the social network X.

Araghchi noted that Tehran's decision to cancel the agreement with the IAEA was prompted by a series of events, including the US and Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, the reactivation of UN sanctions against Iran initiated by the E3, and finally - the IAEA resolution calling on Iran to provide accurate information about its highly enriched uranium stocks.

"The official termination of the Cairo Agreement is a direct result of their provocations," the minister summarized.
