The United Kingdom continues to prepare plans for the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine after a ceasefire is achieved. This was stated on Tuesday by the Prime Minister's spokesman Keir Starmer, quoted by „Reuters“, reports News.bg.

During a telephone conversation between Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the two discussed the importance of the continued efforts of coalition partners to prepare for such a deployment after the cessation of hostilities, the British Prime Minister's spokesman specified.

When asked whether the United Kingdom remains ready to send troops to the territory of Ukraine after the end of hostilities, the representative of „Downing Street“ stressed: “This commitment remains.“

Russia, for its part, rejected the possibility of deploying foreign military forces in Ukraine, calling such a scenario “unacceptable“.
