British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte have noted that talks on a peaceful end to the conflict in Ukraine have gained momentum.

„Peace talks have gained momentum in recent days, but the focus must be on achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine,“ said a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office after his phone call with Rutte on November 30.

As noted, the British Prime Minister and NATO Secretary General „discussed the work being done by the „coalition of the willing“ to prepare for the cessation of hostilities and welcomed the close coordination between this group and NATO on the next steps“.

The United States has proposed a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine. The document has angered Kiev and its European partners, who have tried to significantly amend it. On November 23, the United States and Ukraine held consultations on the peace plan in Geneva. According to RBC-Ukraine, the delegations agreed on most of the program proposed by Washington, but several key points were left for discussion at a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, the date of which has not yet been set. Trump later announced that the number of points in the plan had been reduced from 28 to 22.
