The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in a post today on his profile on the social platform "Ex" that a Ukraine-USA meeting at the highest level has been agreed - between him and US President Donald Trump, in the "near future", BTA reported.
"Rustem Umerov informed me about his latest contacts with the American side. We are not wasting a day. We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level - with President Trump, in the nearest future. Many things can be resolved before the New Year. Glory to Ukraine!", Zelensky wrote.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Umerov is one of the main negotiators of Kiev with Washington.

The agency notes that this happened a day after Zelensky revealed details of the new US plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

The Ukrainian president reported that he had "a very good conversation" with the US envoys, and thanked them for the "constructive approach, intensive work and purposeful words". "I hope that the agreements reached today on the occasion of Christmas and that the ideas we discussed will be useful", Zelensky concluded.
