US President Donald Trump will meet with Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida on December 28 at 10 p.m. Bulgarian time.
This is stated in the American leader's program, published by the White House.
According to the document, the bilateral meeting will be held in Palm Beach at 3 p.m. local time. Trump's private residence, Mar-a-Lago, is located near the resort, where he arrived for the weekend.
Earlier, Zelensky said that at a meeting with the US president he intended to raise territorial issues, including the withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from Donbas and the use of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. He claimed that in general, the 20-point plan for resolving the crisis in Ukraine was agreed between Ukraine and the US “90%”.
On December 24, Zelensky presented a 20-point plan that Ukraine had been discussing during the negotiations in the US. It includes a fixed number of Ukrainian armed forces of 800,000 in peacetime; a nuclear-free status for Ukraine; security guarantees for Kiev, modeled on Article 5 of the NATO Treaty; Ukraine's accession to the EU at a certain point; introduction of educational programs in Ukrainian schools that promote tolerance towards different cultures; freedom of navigation on the Dnieper with demilitarization of the Kinburn Spit; exchange of prisoners on the formula “all for all“; and holding presidential elections in Ukraine.
The plan also contains provisions on territorial issues and the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
In an interview with Politico, Trump earlier said that Zelensky's peace plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine means nothing without his approval.
