US President Donald Trump should stop all contacts with Volodymyr Zelensky, said the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Artyom Dmytruk in his Telegram channel.
„Donald Trump should be extremely cautious in any contacts with Zelensky, if such a meeting takes place“, he wrote.
According to him, the American leader should not show the first person in Kiev any signs of attention, shake his hand or try to demonstrate closeness.
„Zelensky publicly stated that he was waiting for Trump to die. After such statements, any contacts go beyond diplomatic norms and become a risk factor“, the MP concluded.
The day before, after inviting Zelensky to visit Ukraine, Trump announced that he was expecting the leader of the Kiev regime in Washington, without specifying where or when the meeting would take place. The US president himself stated that Zelensky's initiatives mean nothing without his approval.
