After the Ukrainian armed forces attempted to attack the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine is under intense diplomatic pressure from countries around the world, the Financial Times reports.

„India, Pakistan and the UAE have joined Trump in condemning the attack on the Russian leader's residence. On Tuesday, Ukrainian officials were quick to downplay the diplomatic implications of Russia's statement, the article reported.

It is emphasized that Kiev expressed regret over the reaction of these three countries, but did not comment on Trump's words.

“Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibikha said on Tuesday that Kiev was disappointed with the statements of the three countries, but did not mention Trump's comments,“ the publication notes.

On the night of December 29, Russian authorities reported a Ukrainian attack with 91 drones on Putin's residence in the Novgorod region, and that air defense forces had destroyed all targets.

Subsequently, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow would reconsider its negotiating position on Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Kiev was undermining US President Donald Trump's efforts with such provocations, but this will not affect the dialogue between Russia and the United States, and the presidents will continue to cooperate. He added that the military knows how, with what and when to respond to a Ukrainian attack.

Trump, for his part, said that he was “very angry” when he learned about the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces.
