The terrorist group “Islamic State“ has claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing attack on a Shiite mosque in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the group on its Telegram channel.
At least 31 people were killed and 169 were injured in the attack, police and government officials said earlier today.
Shiites make up about 20 percent of Pakistan's 250 million population.
