A new round of talks on Ukraine may be held in Geneva on February 26, TASS reported, citing an informed source.

“The talks in Geneva may resume as early as Thursday“, the agency's source said.

The previous round of consultations on Ukraine was held on February 17-18 in Geneva. Representatives of the United States also participated in the dialogue. The head of the Russian delegation, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, said that the talks were difficult but businesslike. He then announced a new round "in the near future." The Kremlin described the Ukraine negotiation process as complex and productive. Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, who was part of the delegation, said earlier that the Geneva talks had covered the full range of issues on the agenda in the context of seeking a settlement to the Ukrainian conflict. US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff, who is taking part in the talks, said on Sunday that he expected "good news" on the issue of resolving the conflict. He suggested that US initiatives could lead to a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian President Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky or to trilateral talks with the participation of US President Donald Trump.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Putin did not rule out the possibility of a meeting with Zelensky, "but believes that any summit must be well prepared in order to finalize the work that must first be done at an expert level."

In February, the Kremlin spokesman emphasized that such a meeting was possible only in Moscow.
