Iran has rejected all US demands at the Geneva talks, The Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the publication, the talks concerned the transfer of uranium abroad. Iran refused to stop uranium enrichment, dismantle its nuclear facilities or impose indefinite restrictions on the development of its nuclear program.

On February 26, the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States on the Iranian nuclear program, mediated by Oman, began in a Swiss city. However, the meeting was interrupted for consultations between the delegations and their respective governments.

According to Axios journalist Barak Ravid, US special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and American businessman Jared Kushner were disappointed with the morning round of talks with Iran.

The talks resumed that evening. The politicians met at the residence of the Omani foreign minister in Geneva.

A new round of negotiations is scheduled for Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters last night, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

He pointed out that progress had been made in the third round, and "technical talks" are scheduled for Monday.

The talks in question at the beginning of next week will most likely discuss the details of a possible agreement between the US and Iran.

"Maybe now there are more serious prospects for reaching an agreement", the minister said regarding the third round of negotiations.

According to him, time is needed for consultations with the governments of both countries and for the preparation of some documents. "This was the best and most serious round of negotiations," Araghchi added.
