The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced early this morning that they had launched a new massive attack on military sites in Iran, DPA reported, BTA reported.

The Israeli army said on the Telegram app that they had “launched a new large-scale wave of strikes targeting the Iranian terrorist regime's missile launchers, air defense systems and other infrastructure“.

The Iranian Tasnim news agency reported explosions in the capital Tehran. According to the IDF, Iran has again fired at Israel. The army said that “air defense systems are working to intercept drones“. The Times of Israel reported that there were no reports of casualties so far.

Since the start of the latest war against Iran over the weekend, the Israeli air force has carried out more than 1,600 combat missions and destroyed about 300 missile launchers, according to military statements.

The United States and Israel launched a large-scale offensive against Iran on Saturday, escalating tensions in the region, with Tehran retaliating with missiles at American bases in Gulf states.

At least four people were killed and six were wounded in an Israeli strike on a four-story residential building in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek, Reuters reported, citing local authorities, BTA reported. Rescue teams are still trying to pull people from the rubble.

The strike marked a sharp escalation in fighting that erupted along the Lebanese-Israeli border on Monday. Then the Iranian-backed Lebanese Shiite group "Hezbollah" attacked Israel with rockets, and the Israeli army responded with a series of air strikes and sent troops into southern Lebanon.

"Hezbollah" said on Monday that its fighters had attacked Israeli military units stationed near the town of Metula in northern Israel, near the border with Lebanon, with rockets. Lebanese militias said the attack was in response to dozens of Israeli strikes on Lebanese cities, including suburbs of Beirut.

Israel on Monday warned residents of 16 Lebanese villages to evacuate. Meanwhile, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported several Israeli strikes this morning, saying that a hotel and an apartment building in eastern Lebanon were among the targets. The Lebanese Health Ministry said yesterday that at least 50 people had been killed and 335 wounded since the escalation between Hezbollah and the Israeli army began.
